Disclaimer

Important limitations on the use of EICalc.ca results.

Estimates Only

All calculations produced by EICalc.ca are estimates. They are based on publicly available ESDC rates, Statistics Canada regional unemployment data, and Service Canada's published benefit weeks matrix. The results shown are not official Employment Insurance determinations and carry no legal weight.

Your actual EI benefit amount, eligibility status, and number of benefit weeks are determined exclusively by Service Canada after reviewing your Record of Employment (ROE), your complete application, and any supporting documentation they require. The calculator cannot replicate Service Canada's full adjudication process.

What the Calculator Does Not Account For

No Affiliation with Service Canada

EICalc.ca is an independent estimation tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, operated by, or connected to Service Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), Statistics Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), or any agency of the Government of Canada.

The Government of Canada does not endorse the accuracy of this tool's results. For official information and to apply for EI, visit canada.ca/en/services/benefits/ei.

Rates Subject to Change

EI premium rates, maximum insurable earnings, regional unemployment rates, and the benefit weeks matrix are updated by the Government of Canada on an ongoing basis. EICalc.ca updates rates as promptly as possible, but there may be a lag. The effective date of the current rates is displayed in the calculator. EICalc.ca is not responsible for decisions made based on outdated rate information.

No Liability

EICalc.ca accepts no responsibility for financial, legal, or employment decisions made based on estimates produced by this tool. Users are solely responsible for verifying their eligibility through official Service Canada channels before making any decisions about employment, income planning, or benefits claims.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice, tax advice, or financial advice. Situations involving just cause terminations, severance disputes, labour relations matters, or complex insurable employment questions should be reviewed by a qualified employment lawyer, union representative, or legal aid service.
