Summary
EICalc.ca does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information entered into the calculator. Hours, earnings, and location inputs are processed entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server. The site uses Google Analytics 4 for anonymized usage statistics and Google AdSense for advertising.
Calculator Inputs
All calculation inputs — your city or region, insurable hours, and average weekly earnings — are processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. No input data is transmitted to EICalc.ca servers or stored anywhere. When you close the browser tab, the calculation is gone.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage data. GA4 collects information such as:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- General geographic region (country, province — not precise location)
- Device type and browser
- Referring website
- Session duration and page depth
This data is aggregated and anonymized — it cannot identify you as an individual. GA4 data is processed and stored by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. EICalc.ca does not share GA4 data with third parties.
You can opt out of GA4 tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense
This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads that may be relevant to your interests, based on your browsing history across sites.
EICalc.ca does not control which specific ads are displayed. Ad personalization is managed by Google. You can review and adjust your ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by Google's Advertising Policies.
Cookies
EICalc.ca does not set any first-party cookies. Cookies on this site are set exclusively by Google Analytics and Google AdSense as described above. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser's settings. Disabling cookies may affect ad personalization but will not affect the calculator's functionality.
No Backend Storage
EICalc.ca has no user account system, no form submission database, no server-side logging of calculator inputs, and no backend that receives or stores personal data. The site is served as static files. There is nothing to delete because nothing is stored.
Third-Party Links
This site contains links to canada.ca, Statistics Canada, and other government websites. EICalc.ca is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. When you follow a link to an external site, you are subject to that site's privacy policy.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the "last reviewed" date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. We do not use email lists, so there is no mechanism to notify users of changes.
