Acceptance of Terms

By using EICalc.ca, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use this site. These terms may be updated at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the current version.

Estimates Only — Not Official

All results produced by EICalc.ca are estimates based on publicly available ESDC and Statistics Canada data. Results do not constitute an official Service Canada eligibility determination and should not be relied upon as such. Your actual EI entitlement is determined exclusively by Service Canada after reviewing your Record of Employment (ROE), your application, and any additional information they request.

EICalc.ca is not a government service. Using this tool does not initiate an EI claim. To receive EI benefits, you must apply directly at canada.ca/ei.

No Official Affiliation

EICalc.ca is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Service Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), Statistics Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), or the Government of Canada. No government data is accessed through this tool — all figures are sourced from publicly available government publications and recalculated locally in your browser.

Rates Subject to Change

EI premium rates, maximum insurable earnings, regional unemployment rates, and benefit week calculations are published by ESDC and Statistics Canada and change regularly. While EICalc.ca updates rates as promptly as possible after government publication, there may be a lag between official publication and tool update. The effective date of the current rates is displayed in the calculator. Always verify current rates at canada.ca before making financial decisions.

No Liability

EICalc.ca makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for purpose of the information provided. EICalc.ca shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or financial decisions made based on results from this tool. Users assume all responsibility for verifying their own eligibility with Service Canada.

This site is provided "as is" without any guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or continuity of service.

Not Legal or Financial Advice

Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice, tax advice, financial planning advice, or employment law guidance. If you have a complex eligibility situation — severance interaction, just cause claim, interprovincial move, self-employment status, labour dispute involvement, or disciplinary termination — consult a qualified employment lawyer, union representative, or legal aid service.

Permitted Use

EICalc.ca is provided free of charge for personal, informational use. You may not scrape, reproduce, or redistribute the calculator, its data, or its content without written permission. Automated access to the site is prohibited.
